About the MEG Festival

Created in 1999, co-founded by Mustapha Terki and Jacques Primeau, MEG Montreal is a pioneering event in terms of broadcast and promotion of electronic music worldwide. It was one of the first spaces in Montreal open to young producers and creators, and one of the first to provide the Canadian public, Montrealers or visitors to the city, a privileged access to new music. The discovery of emerging artists (electro, pop, rock, hip-hop, etc.) or little known to fans in North America, is at the heart of the MEG’s mandate. The organization also aims to promote exchanges between Canada and the world with a strong France-Quebec focus and to increase the circulation of artists between the two continents. The MEG has over the years forged a reputation and professional expertise internationally.
