SHORT FILMS AWARD CEREMONY, Q&A WITH THE STARS OF L’ACROBATE
► AT 6:00PM : A special screening of Jeff Nichols’ TAKE SHELTER as part of the Festival’s environment theme
The Festival is thrilled to present Jeff Nichols’ TAKE SHELTER at 6:00PM in the Cinéplex Odéon Quartier Latin (Salle 17). The 2011 thriller is screened as part of the Festival’s environment programming, one of three major cinematic themes offered this year. It stars Michael Shannon as Chris, a family man plagued by increasingly frequent apocalyptic visions. As his mental state deteriorates — to the terror of his family — Chris’ only comfort is the underground bunker in his yard. The film will be followed by a discussion on eco-anxiety and climate change with eco-sociologist Laure Waridel.
