The Tristones, led by the blues guitarist and dynamic rocker
Tristan Clark from New York, NY, today releases a live music video for Jimi
Hendrix’s classic  “Power of Soul.” Available on The Tristones’ YouTube
Channel, “Power of Soul” can be found here. Clark explains, “This tune has been a
long time staple in our set and it’s by my favourite version of Jimi Hendrix’s
line up, Band of Gypsys. Not only is Jimi such a guitar idol for me, but this
band in particular was a huge influence.” “Power of Soul” was the first ever
song Hendrix played with Band of Gypsys, so it is fitting that The Tristones
release their version of the track today on Hendrix’s birthday. Clark is joined
by Gregory Jones (Bass, Vocals) and Adam Jackson (Drums, Vocals) on the track.
The Tristones can next be seen performing at Rockwood Music Hall in New York,
NY on Friday, January 10th. Tickets and more information can be found here

“Power of Soul” comes after The Tristones released their single
“Love Avenue” last month, from the upcoming full-length Camaro. “Love Avenue”
is an ode to New York City, Clark’s adopted home of the last five years. This
sultry roots-rock tune takes listeners on various subway rides to his favorite
gems in Manhattan, Harlem, Williamsburg and Park Slope, Brooklyn. “‘Love
Avenue’ is about exploring great places in New York and making memories at
these places, but always finding your way back home to those you love,” says
Clark. Appearing on the track is Adam Jackson (Drums) and Gregory Jones (Bass),
as well as special guests Dylan Hemming (Hammond B3) and Tristan Armstrong
(Guitar and Vocals). Listen to “Love Avenue” here

“Love Avenue” was produced by Stu Mahan (The London Souls, Eric Krasno Band) and engineered by Jon Roods (The Rustic Overtones). The track was mixed by Rick Salt at Mountainview Studio and mastered at Tranquility Sound.
