Indie Montreal‘s IMTL Press has announced that Rayannah will present her multidisciplinary performance Afterglow as the final live show of the Nos repaires album cycle. The performance will take place at Winnipeg’s Théâtre Cercle Molière for the finale of the Wall-to-Wall Festival on October 2, and through Synonym Sound on October 3. The October 3 performance will also be broadcasted online at 8pm (Eastern time).
Named “Francophone Artist of the Year” and “Producer of the Year” along with her colleague Mario Lepage at the 2019 Western Canadian Music Awards, Rayannah launched Nos repaires, her debut full-length album, in March 2019. She was forced to cancel her tour this fall, which would have marked the end of the album cycle. In its stead, Rayannah will present Afterglow, an immersive and multidisciplinary live performance to be held at Winnipeg’s Théâtre Cercle Molière.
Afterglow brings together numerous visual elements designed specially for the album. The venue will be completely transformed to host the multidisciplinary event: the audience will follow a designated path through the space within which several artists will perform. Rayannah will be accompanied by Mario Lepage – her Nos repaires co-producer – as well as visual artist Stephanie Kuse (Sckuse), dancer Emily Solstice, dancer Stephan Azulay (Royal Winnipeg Ballet) and contortionist Anastasia Evisgneeva. Lighting and set designer Miguel Fortier will craft an immersive visual experience. Of course, all government health guidelines will be followed.
Afterglow also marks the final show of the 2020 edition of the Wall-to-Wall Festival, which features visual and musical artists from Manitoba and around the world.
