FROM DEBUT SOLO RECORD
PRODUCED BY BOOKER T. JONES
Matt Berninger, frontman of The National, shares a remix of “One More Second” from his acclaimed debut solo record Serpentine Prison by Future Islands today; check it out HERE. “Every time I put on Future Islands my impression of the human condition improves,” notes Berninger. “Their remix of “One More Second” kills me.” Rolling Stone praised the original’s “shuffling drums, rich organ, blooming backing vocals and …tasteful piano solo,” while Stereogum called the track “an elegant acoustic jam.”
Serpentine Prison, produced by famed Memphis multi-instrumentalist Booker T. Jones, is available via Book’s Records, a new imprint formed by Berninger and Jones in conjunction with Concord Records, stream/order HERE.
Serpentine Prison features contributions from a wide array of notable artists, including Matt Barrick (The Walkmen, Jonathan Fire*Eater), Andrew Bird, Mike Brewer, Hayden Desser, Scott Devendorf (The National, LNZNDRF), Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie, Lenny Kravitz), Booker T.
