TAKE PART IN HABITATS FORUM PUBLIC EVENTS
FEBRUARY 2, 3 AND 4
Citizen action as a power of action in the face of old age!
One and one make a thousand, in collaboration with the Goethe Institute, Présâges and the School of Social Innovation Elisabeth Bruyère, is happy to invite the public to the public events of the Habitats Forum whose second edition will take place online on February 2, 3 and 4. A social innovation project, Habitats proposes a series of private and public events developed over a three-year period (2020-2023), with the aim of propelling collective reflections and actions around ageing.
As Quebec is plunged into quarantine, Habitats is proving to be a unique opportunity to exchange and speak on topics that concern us all. Three evenings are on the programme: CITIZEN POWER, TABULA RASA and HOUSES WITHOUT WALLS. Each of the three evenings has its own peculiarities and questions specific issues, but revolves around the same question: How do we wish to live in our old age?
The first events took place last fall and will continue, on the same themes, until the summer of 2021. The fall panels and conferences have already created a strong and growing community. This is an opportunity for participants to create an open space for discussion; to reflect on this issue of ageing and to act together to imagine other possibilities; to put power back in the hands of the first concerned: citizens of all generations.
Join the movement
“The first meetings of the Habitats Forum allowed us to discover the wisdom and popular knowledge that the community holds on these issues.
François Grisé, host and creator of the Forum. « We found that not only do many citizens know what they want for their old age, but there are also many expertises and projects that put these wishes and visions into action in a concrete way.»
Francois also insists that “it is not necessary to have participated in the first meetings to join those in February. You can catch the boat and join the movement now. We want the community to be as broad as possible.»
