The United States vs. Billie Holiday will be available in Canada for video-on-demand (rental) and electronic purchases in the original English version starting March 2. Directed by Lee Daniels (PreciousLee Daniels’ The Butler) and starring Grammy-nominated artist Andra Day, the film garnered two Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress in a Dramatic Feature Film and Best Original Song.  The United States vs. Billie Holiday tells the story of American jazz singer Billie Holiday and performer of the famous song Strange Fruit, a workthat denounces racism and lynching of African-Americans.
