Piknic Électronik is very happy to collaborate with the Direction régionale de santé publique de Montréal and Parc Jean-Drapeau to take part in the collective effort and promote vaccination against COVID-19 among young people. This Sunday, July 11, in partnership with the CIUSSS du Center-Sud-de-Île-de-Montréal, a walk-in vaccination clinic will be set up at the entrance to its site on Île Sainte-Hélène.
A COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Piknic Électronik
This Sunday, July 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., festival-goers who wish to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to do so at the entrance to the Piknic Électronik site. In order to set up this ephemeral vaccination clinic, Piknic Électronik joined forces with the CIUSSS du Center-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal teams. The CIUSSS “Vaccino-mobile” squad will offer the 1st and 2nd dose vaccination without an appointment in front of the Aquatic Complex, at the crossroads to the 3 event sites (see the attached map for precise location). Those who wish can have their 2nd dose, in accordance with the latest government guidelines, as early as 4 weeks after the 1st dose. Vaccination will also be offered to all users of Parc Jean-Drapeau.
Other such clinics could be set up during the summer, in line with Piknic Électronik’s programming.
Piknic Électronik is back at Parc Jean-Drapeau
For this 18th edition, Piknic Électronik is returning to Parc Jean-Drapeau and inviting music lovers to celebrate with it Saturdays and Sundays for some thirty Montreal summer events, while respecting public health guidelines. For this very special edition, Piknic Électronik welcomes a limited number of spectators twice a day: in the afternoon, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and in the evening, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are sold in pairs with assigned locations in order to respect physical distancing. Wearing a mask is compulsory on the site, except when in your assigned place. For this second weekend, Piknic invites festival-goers to one of three stages – Videotron, Piknic or the brand new stage du Musée – where they can dance to the sounds of local DJs.
