I MUSICI DE MONTRÉAL WELCOMES
15 MUSICIANS AGED 8-18
THE MOMENT OF A CONCERT!
Sunday, June 19, at 2 p.m.
Pierre-Mercure Hall of the Pierre-Péladeau Center
I Musici de Montreal will present its 2nd edition of the I Musici Challenge, on Sunday, June 19, at 2 p.m., at the Pierre-Mercure Hall of the Pierre-Péladeau Center, in Montreal. Fifteen young musicians coming from several regions in Quebec will have the opportunity to play their instruments during the concert.
For the past few months, I Musici de Montreal has been inviting young Quebec musicians aged 5 to 25 to go above and beyond individually, regardless of their instrument, by recording a short presentation video and a musical piece (or an excerpt) they are particularly proud of, and which symbolizes their perseverance as well as their passion for music. Out of all the applications, fifteen musicians were selected to participate in the June 19 program.
Before the concert, a quartet composed of Youri Downing-Rheault (violin), Sofia Narot-Pappas (violin), Ahna Pollak (cello)and Alix Yale (viola) will perform in the hall.
Violinists Ève-Léa Carrier, Louis Duffayet, Avital LaCroix, Junde Liu La, Miso Seo and Ève Stastny will join the members of I Musici de Montreal, which will be led by conductor Jean-Françpos Rivest.
Frédéric Beaudoin (flute), Ève-Léa Carrier (violin), Kim Carrier (violin), Louis-Jacob Chandonnet (harp), Maxence Fournier (piano) and Matthias Sutton (clarinet) will each make a special appearance as soloists during the program.
