WITH THE VOICES OF AUDREY LAMY AND BORIS REHLINGER

IN CINEMAS ON AUGUST 12, 2022

Presented at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, as well as at the closing of the Montreal International Children’s Film Festival, this animated film inspired by Amazonian legends is voiced by French actors Audrey Lamy (Les invisibles) and Boris Rehlinger (Le chat potté).

Born in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, Ainbo is only 13 years old but dreams of being the best hunter in all of Candamo. So she launches herself in defiance of all the dangers in the fight against deforestation, this terrible scourge that threatens her native land. Fortunately, she knows that to defeat her enemies, tree cutters and gold diggers, she will be able to count on her magical spiritual guides: Vaca, a tapir as strong as clumsy and Dillo, a mischievous armadillo.

Rocked since childhood by Peruvian legends, José Zelada is inspired by his roots to create a history in coexistence with nature. For this, he decided to co-direct the feature film with Richard Claus (Le petit Vampire) in order to tell the story of the Amazon internationally. With a unique visual identity, the film transports the viewer to the heart of the jungle to meet Ainbo, an adventurer always accompanied by her animal friends and ready to do anything in her fight against deforestation. Distributed in more than 50 countries worldwide, AINBO – SPIRIT OF THE AMAZON has conquered young and old alike in its environmental quest.
