Beautiful
Garbage/Interscope
By Tino

Picking up this CD and reading the title brought a smile to my face. I loved the way the band played with their album’s name. But when the music starts to play, it’s a fourteen-track album that is critically beautiful. If you’ve heard the first single “Androgyny”, then you probably already have an idea of this album’s overall direction. The band’s addictive sound, and edge is designed to keep your body in perpetual motion. Garbage formed in 1993, with their line-up of Duke Erikson, Shirley Manson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig. Garbage made their major market radio debut with the release of their second album, “Version 2.0.” What’s notably different about this line-up is that the three guys in the group are also producers, of the group, and as well as for others. This seems to explain the amount of creativity that just overflows on this record, not to mention obscure sounds and wavy effects that just sound Beautiful. Check out the obscure sounds and wavy effects that just sound gorgeous. Beautiful is a remarkable record to listen to. A something that is: Garbage.
