Snoop Dogg Presents : Doggy Style All Stars, Welcome to the HouseVarious Artists / Universal By Seema I can't even remember the last time Snoop actually came out with something original. He's got a lame formula and just keeps sticking to it. This album really stays on the same lines as his previous work except he's got company this time from the likes of Mr. Kane, E-White, Soopa Fly and the soulful La Toiya Williams. "Dogg House America" is alright, with La Toiya's vocals standing out. 'Not Lie It Was" is a bit on the mellow side. The talented La Toiya takes center stage and gives an excellent performance on "Fallen Star." Soopa Fly raises the roof on "Are You Ready." The track "Don't Fight The Feelin" has Snoop teaming up with Cam'ron, Lady May, Soopafly and Nate Dogg. Cool vibe but pathetic lyrics (all that usual stuff that rap singers rhyme about). A few tracks to fast forward will then bring La Toiya back to the mic where she sings a sweet melody on "It Feels Good." This album has it's moments (not too many of them though). |
