Good Morning Aztlan / Los Lobos

To the general public, Los Lobos is best known for their hit song "La Bamba" back in 1987. Since the 1970's, they have been entertaining music lovers with their distinct sound, which draws from rock, country, folk, blues and traditional Spanish sounds. They have numerous album recordings to their name including "The Neighbourhood (1990) which was a strong rock and roll album. "Kiko (1992)," had the band experimenting with various types of sounds. They followed with "Just Another Band From East L.A." in 1993 which was basically a career retrospective. They even put together a children's album in 1995 and then came another album entitled "Colossal Head" in 1996. Their current recording "Good Morning Aztlan" is a double cd set, the first one consisting of 12 tracks and the second contains 2 previously unreleased tracks. Noteworthy tracks include "Hearts of Stone," "Luz de Mi Vida," "The Word," and "Maria Christina." Longtime fans will not be disappointed.
