A Western that is best remembered as containing the break out performance of Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates.  Rowdy is the right-hand man of trail boss Gil Favor (played by Eric Fleming). The Western series follows a group of hands charged with continuously driving cattle across the West and sees the men getting into all kinds of sticky situations and adventures in the process.

Episode 1: The Woman Trap: A group of mail-order brides headed for Fort Worth cross paths with the drovers. They soon realize that the wagon master (played by Alan Hale Jr.) leading the women might not be completely honest.

Episode 2: The Boss’s Daughters: Gil’s daughters arrive for a long delayed visit.  While on the visit a wealthy rancher offers to marry their aunt and adopt them.

Episode 3: The Deserters’ Patrol: In order to prevent the slaughter of an entire Pawnee tribe Pete (played by Sheb Wooley) convinces their chief to surrender to soldiers.

Episode 4: The Greedy Town: A mother offers a reward of $2,000 to anyone who finds her dead son innocent and have the sheriff who arrested him fired.

Episode 5: Grandma’s Money: Rowdy goes to Indian Springs to collect a payment and runs into an old lady who turns out to be a thief.

Episode 6: The Pitchwagon: A drover is killed saving the life of a traveling salesman leaving him feeling guilty. He wants to come up with a way to raise money for the widow.

Episode 7: Hostage Child: A young Indian arrives at Fort Lacey looking for his sister only to find out she has married the commander.

Episode 8: The Immigrants: Clay, Quince (played by Steve Raines) and Wishbone (played by Paul Brinegar) are in quarantine due to an outbreak of anthrax.

Episode 9: The Child-Woman: Mushy (played by James Murdoch) wants to free his cousin from the grip of a saloon owner who does not want to let his star attraction go free.

Episode 10: A Woman’s Place: Gil and Rowdy race to town to find the doctor after a drover is seriously injured.

Episode 11: The Reunion: Pete brings a young army officer to his father, a well-known general who plans on attacking the Pawnee.

Episode 12: House of the Hunter: Rowdy’s horses are stolen and while looking for them he ends up at a remote house filled with strangers who are being held prisoner in the house by unknown people.

Episode 13: Gold Fever: While on a mountaintop the drovers go a little gold and women crazy.

Episode 14: The Devil and the Deep Blue: Favor takes on another cattle drive without knowing that the previous trail boss had been murdered after he threatened to tell that the cattle are diseased.
