When I first saw this young lady on One Tree Hill as Mia Catalano I thought she was simply an actress playing the role of someone trying to break into the music industry.  Little did I know that Kate Voegele is a singer/songwriter first and an actress second.

Starting off at a very young age she was the youngest winner (in 2005 at the age of 19) of the USA Songwriting Competition in the Pop category.  Soon after she was signed Interscope Records and released her debut album in 2007 entitled Only Fooling Myself.  Her third album, Gravity Happens, (the latest) was just released this past May.  Over the past summer she opened for Natasha Bedingfield on her Less is More tour.
