Electronic and dubstep musician/DJ Bassnectar (real name is Lorin Ashton) hails from San Francisco, California.  He is 33-years-old and combines mainstream with underground sounds in his music.  Bassnectar released his eighth studio album Divergent Spectrum this year and is now in the midst of the tour to support it.  He has worked on remixes for Deftones, Gogol Bordello, KRS-ONE and Brit pop act Ellie Goulding.  It was his work on her single “Lights” that thrust him into the spotlight.

He did a set at this summer’s Osheaga music festival and garnered many positive reviews.  The intention of his music is to connect with the listener and to have a social impact.  Over his career he has played attention grabbing sets at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Coachella.  Wherever he plays, whether at a large festival or a smaller club, it is guaranteed to be a night that you will remember.
