Pulse
London native Charlie Barnard has recently left his band Nazca Plain and this is his third solo recording. Filled with psychedelic pop and lyrics with plenty of biblical references, this album is left of center to say the least. Definitely a dark album though it doesn't venture too far down that road. Meaning that you won't be too shocked by what you are listening to. The strongest tracks on the album are "Through August Into Autumn" and "Teach Your Face to Cry". Sounding a lot like something that cult musician Robyn Hitchcock might record you might be tempted to skip listening to it, but give it a chance and you might discover a new artist to love.
