A convenient local bar in the heart of it all, St Laurent and Prince Arthur. The kind of place you go to if you don't feel like dressing up (dudes, don't go in your workout gear though). If you want to hear something out of the typical top 40 playlist, and have more money in your pocket by the end of the night.

This particular place feels more like a mix between a local bar from Mont Tremblant (because of its log cabin feel), and a university drinking spot (the place is filled with McGill U students). They play a little bit of everything ranging from James Brown and Chris Brown, to Nirvana and Lil Wayne. There are seating areas near the entrance, stools along the 2 bars and another loungey couch across from the DJ booth in the middle of the bar. There's a coat check area and the washrooms are on the basement floor (no room for dancing though, just do your business and get back upstairs).

The crowd is varied but don't be surprised to meet a heap of McGill students blowing off steam or some Ontarians on their weekend trip to our hip and happening city. If you want to socialize with strangers, it really won't be difficult, especially by the end of the night, when most become a little bit more eager to make conversation.

Drinks are affordable (4$ shooters - 6$ drinks). The music isn't bad and definitely a place to try out a few new macking skills to boost your ego (for all you Casanovas out there, holla!). Don't forget to ask for their Moonshine specialty drink, it's served in a mason jar (I promised I wouldn't tell you what's in it).

Not a bad idea to hang out in for a low key night, but when the warmer days roll in, it gets a little crammed, since it is pretty small and most University kids need a cheap hang out spot...

Basically if you've got class and a little pretentious side to you, don't go there. Your idea of a good time might be hard to find in there. On the other hand, if you want to remember the times in frats and careless drunken days, you will not be disappointed.

Open Friday to Monday nights 10pm-3am. Peak night Fridays
