Urban music has achieved tremendous success in North America with r&b, rap and hip hop, succeeding on it's own or crossing over into other genres. The urban sound is not limited to our side of the planet. It has in fact crossed the borders into France, Asia and even Brazil. In the past few years, the urban vibe has become part of the mainstream music industry. The "Urban Brazil" compilation offers up various genres like samba, electronica and even folk. The album includes fifteen tracks giving you an opportunity to explores the varied sound of Brazil's music. Otto, a previous percussionist for the band Mundo Livre shows off his smooth vocal skills on the track entitled "Cuba." Botecoeletro's "Coco Nutz Mass" is upbeat and has an interesting musical backdrop. Brazilian rap sensations Thaide & DJ Hum rock the mic with their Wu-Tang influenced track "Sangue Bom."
