In early July I heard chatter about David Crosby's and Graham Nash's new CD to be released in August, I honestly wasn't expecting very much, even though I'm a huge fan of there's. I thought Crosby and Nash were spent and I also thought Stills' guitar work would be missed. A couple of months ago I caught up with the band in Winooski, Vermont and the duo performed a few tracks from this there forthcoming album and I realized how wrong I was. The songs I heard that night caught on right away. I remember listening to Nash's stunning "Milky Way Tonight" and "Jesus Of Rio," I also remember Crosby's socially motivated "They Want It All." I swiftly realized these guys have so much music left in them and I was looking forward to the release of this CD. Anyone that has ever enjoyed the gentle harmonies and acoustic nature of C.S.N. will love this new double CD. I truthfully enjoyed all of the 20 tracks on this album. This CD could have been put out 20 years ago, the flavor and resonance of their sound hasn't changed a bit; just like an old friend that you have known for several years. So get reacquainted with a couple of old pals and dive into this wonderful pool of music.
