Macy Gray

Certainly few Macy Gray fans expected a best of album from this throaty performer at this stage of her career. I can't think of any other artist that has released a best of album after only three studio efforts. Several Gray fans were probably anticipating a new studio release. This Best of Collection spans the years 1999 to 2004. With17 tracks, this CD is packed with hits, including 4 bonus tracks: "Demons" (Featuring Fatboy Slim), "When I See You" (Bugz In The Attic Remix), "I've Committed Murder" (Gang Starr Remix – Featuring Mos Def), "Sexual Revolution" (Norman Cook Radio Version@ 128bpm). Gray is joined by Erykah Badu on "Sweet Baby" and Pharoahe Monch on "It Ain't The Money." This international star is renowned for her distinguished voice and her quick rise to mega-record sales. Macy Gray may not be everyone's cup of java but there is no denying that this woman possesses a certain charisma and charm that has wowed millions across the planet. Favorite selections on this disc include: "I Try", "Still", "Sweet Baby", "When I See You", and "She Ain't Right For You". Check out Gray's humorous take on Aerosmith's "Walk This Way."
