Bury Your Dead came together in 2001, when they set out to play music just for the hell of it. Coming from various musical backgrounds, Mat Bruso (vocals), Slim (guitar), Eric Ellis (guitar), Rich Casey (bass) and Mark Castillo (drums) each contributed something different to the band's sound. Not long after their formation, Bury Your Dead soon realized that people enjoyed what they were doing and ended up sticking with it. After playing numerous shows on the East coast and building a solid fan-base, Eulogy/Alveran Recordings offered the band a national tour with Glassjaw, Poison The Well, Andrew W.K. and Bane. The band then put out a 5 song EP with Eulogy, which caught the attention of Victory Records whom quickly added the band to their roster. Bury Your Dead's Victory debut "Cover Your Tracks" is an album that truly captures the band's focus, energy and passion for hardcore music. Bury Your Dead combine blaring guitars, ferocious drumming (from recent ex-drummer of Between The Buried And Me) and deep guttural vocals, creating an all out aural massacre. A definite must for fans of Hatebreed, Lamb Of God and Blood Has Been Shed. Best songs are: "Maverick", "Legend", "You Can't Handle The…" and "Bury Your Dead".
