Dizzy Gillespie / Warner

The legendary trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie was well known for his exceptional musical talents and one of the leaders of the bebop style back in the 1940's. Fans will surely be impressed with the collection of songs presented on the album entitled "The Winter In Lisbon." The "Opening Theme" by Charles Fishman is a smooth jazzy tune. Dizzy's "San Sebastian" is a toe tapper. "Magic Summer" featuring charming vocals courtesy Leola Jiles is an enticing tune. Dizzy's talent is also noticeable on "Isthmus" and "Lisbon." The orchestral version of Charles Fishman's "Magic Summer" is also quite enjoyable. Overall this is a charming album. Check it out.
