Scrubs – The Complete First Season

Scrubs fans rejoice and re-live all 24 episodes of the shows' first season (2001-2002) available on 3 discs. For newcomers to the show; Srubs is a sitcom based in a hospital and its myriad of wacky doctors. This obtuse view of life in a hospital from the perspective of an intern is a fun slant on doctors and their every day life. J.D. (Zach Braff) leads the cast, as the new intern who has to adjust to the mayhem at Sacred Heart Hospital. . J.D. befriends surgeon Chris Turk (Donald Faison), Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), and compassionate nurse Carla Espinoza (Judy Reyes'), who lovingly gives J.D. his new moniker…"Bambi." Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and Jordan (Christa Miller Lawrence) round off the cast of this goofball team of medical caregivers.

Several episodes include outstanding cameo appearances. Perhaps most noteable is John Ritter's role as J.D.'s remised father in "My Old Man." Check out the episode entitled "My Sacrifical Clam" with St. Elsewhere's alumni William Daniels, Ed Begley, Jr., Stephen Furst, and Eric Laneuville. The ex-doctors play Legionnaire's-stricken physicians. Also, watch for walk on performances by Jimmie Walker and Jordan Fraser.
Whether or not you're familiar with this program, it is just the right remedy for those of looking for a fresh new show.
