This is the 6th edition of the Mutek Festival which involves music, sound and new technologies. It runs this year from June 1st until the 5th. The festival will take place in new venues (Ex-Centris, Musée Juste Pour Rire, Metropolis, Parc Jean Drapeau, Hotel Godin, and the Contemporary Art Museum of Montreal) and features more than a hundred of artists from 15 different countries. Mutek's goal is to captivate, entertain and educate us with all facets of digital sound, electronic music and audiovisual conceptions. The invited artists (who include Bas Van Koolwijk, Egbert Mittelstädt, Robert Henke, and John Duncan) will fuse various genres, backgrounds and experiment with sound and audio in order to create their truly original and unique brands of artwork.
The programs include performances, workshops and conferences. All of these aim to be a delight for your eyes and your ears. The tickets for the festival can be purchased at the Admission or Ticketpro websites or if you want to buy them in person you can go to: from April 26th at Billetterie Articulée (1182 St. Laurent), Atom Heart (364 Sherbrooke East), CD-Esoterik (1841C Ste Catherine West), MOOG (3828 St Laurent) and from June 1st on at the Mutek box office (2109 St. Laurent).
