Let me tell you a little something about Bon Jovi: they will never suck. Yes, they will make albums that aren't up to par with 1986's Slippery When Wet but never will they forget how to craft the perfect arena sized anthem. You can always count on these New Jersey icons to make lighter-waving power ballads. On Have A Nice Day their ninth studio album, Bon Jovi take the sound back to a time when Tommy used to work on the docks. "I Want to Be Loved" packs the same punch of "Livin' On A Prayer" with guitarist Richie Sambora providing his signature "woah-oh" riffs. From the rootsy rock of "Who Says You Can't Go Home" to the feel good "the world is yours" balladry of "Welcome to Wherever You Are" Have a Nice Day does not disappoint. The boys of Bon Jovi may not be able to recreate the same magic they mastered back in their heyday but damn it Jon still knows how to rock a tight pair of leather pants.
