In Zilker Park (located in Austin, Texas) every summer for the past three years there happens a music festival that has music for all shapes and sizes. It has grown in popularity and last year roughly 75,000 people showed up to. As an offshoot to the wildly popular Austin City Limits television program the music festival gives the rabid music fans in Austin (and across the United States) three days every fall to come out and enjoy some of the best music acts around. Over the weekend of September 17-19, 2004 over 100 music acts performed and this DVD captures some of the highlights of the festival. Austin City Limits does not restrict itself at all with the types of acts it invites. You can enjoy some country music (Shelby Lynne, Ryan Adams), up and comers (Jack Johnson, Howie Day), rock bands (Franz Ferdinand, The Killers), blues (Ben Harper), Canadian bands (Sloan, Broken Social Scene) or music veterans (Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello). This DVD gives the viewer a nice overview of the festival and really makes you want to head down to Texas next September.
