For someone who grew up in a household where there was a parent who played Kenny Rogers's music all the time I have to say that this is an album where all the tunes you know and love to sing along to are there. C'mon, don't be embarrassed that you know all the words to "The Gambler" or "We've Got Tonight". Kenny Rogers is one of the 20th century's most influential and top-selling male country artists and his impressive number of number one hits (21, of course!) is testament to this. The album spans from his first solo hit "Lucille" until the latest, "Buy Me A Rose". You can also tell much about an artist's level of success and respect from his/her peers by who they have recorded duets with. Rogers has sung chart-toppers with the likes of Dolly Parton, Alison Kraus, Ronnie Milsap, Dottie West, and oddly enough Sheena Easton. Though he has released other Greatest Hits albums previously, this is probably the most complete one.
