Comprised of rare, unreleased and album tracks from big players in the punk/indie/hardcore arena, Take Action: Volume 5 benefits The National Youth America Hotline. This hotline hopes to put a dent in the high number of youth/teenage suicides. Teenage suicide is the third leading cause of death of ages 15-24 in the United States. The CD's goal is to show a positive slant from the punk heroes of our youth and demonstrate to them that there is hope or alternatives. Acts who have contributed to this worthy cause include Sugarcult, Hawthorne Heights and Dropkick Murphy's. The low-priced double CD (45 tracks in total) is chock full of top decibel music, but there are also some pop-punk bands that sound a lot like Sum 41 or Simple Plan. Get out and buy the album to support this worthy cause and to encourage music artists to continue to try to make a positive difference in the world.
