Gary Numan is a musician who has been cursed/blessed by having that one huge hit single ("Cars" in the 1980s) which seems to be the only song most people know of his. Jagged is his first album in over 5 years, but he has recorded 12 albums. He definitely is not a one hit wonder in the U.K. His sound is sort of a modern version of what he was doing in the 1980s. It is still very synthesizer/guitar driven and dark. The CD sounds like one anthem after another and they are very atmospheric with some bordering on scary sounding. Some of the songs sound like a cross between Morrissey (the vocals) and Rammstein. Interesting if you are into that kind of thing. This cutting edge artist has managed to stay outside the box and influence decades of young artists for almost 30 years. Quite an accomplishment!
