I played this CD for a co-worker while stating my shock over how Chris Stills, the son of Steven Stills of Crosby, Stills and Nash fame, sings in French. She replied, as if it was common knowledge, "Well, of course, his mother is singer Véronique Sanson and he was born in France." Silly me! Did anyone else know that? Or is it my co-workers obsession with the trivial? Anyways, back to the music… The album was actually first recorded in 2005 and is his second album. It is a mix of classic American rock with French songs and is like an homage to both of his famous musical parents. Musicianship must definitely be in the genes! Not all the songs are sung in French as a couple are in English and he demonstrates a comfort in both languages.
