In his bio it says that Stephan McNicoll, an Ottawa native who now lives in Quebec, is influenced by such acts as AC/DC, Pearl Jam, The Doors, Supertramp, and Led Zeppelin. You can really hear those influences on the album as it feels and sounds like a 60s and 70s rock album with some modern flairs. One influence that should have been mentioned but was not is Nickelback. The second song on the CD, "Nothing Really Matters" sounds very much like Nickelback's song "How You Remind Me" in parts. He was part of a band in the 90s called M. Deltoide who recorded one album then broke up and is now giving it a go as a solo artist. He has recorded a previous album in French, but this is his debut English language album.
