They call their music tex-mex-lectro-garage and that certainly is a mouthful! Their music is beyond categorization as they sound like no other group I have heard. The closest comparison would be a mixture of Les Rita Mitsouko and 60s cabaret music. If you listen you can hear the telltale signs of their musical influences (cabaret, surf music, go go) within the album. This Montreal based duo is made up real-life couple Poupée (vocals, guitar) and Ken Fortrel (guitar, bass, keyboards). With Poupée's babydoll vocals and the of another era instrumentation it definitely makes for an interesting listen. On August 20, 2006 they will be performing in St. Hyacinthe as part of the Festival Consonance de St. Hyacinthe.
