Is it possible to get older as a band and still retain the ability to rock out? The members of Sugarcult are not 'old' by any stretch of the imagination, but they have been together and recording for a while and it does not seem to have affected their rockier edge. Some bands tend to mellow out after a couple of recordings, but not this band. They have incorporated some 80s influences into their sound on this album and it works. The album is not uniformly good as the middle tracks sound like they and the producer kinda fell asleep at the wheel, but it picks up again towards the end. Pay close attention to the single "Los Angeles" as it will really show you the potential that this pop-punk band has.
