Everytime one of the ex-members of Fleetwood Mac put out a solo effort it really makes you realize how much talent there was in that one group. Lindsay Buckingham, along with Stevie Nicks, has had one of the most commercially successful solo careers coming out of the band. This CD is full of stripped down numbers that basically just focus on his guitar playing and voice. And in this case less is more! Many of the songs have a Latin or Caribbean flavour to them. He has even included two stripped down Rolling Stones' songs, "I Was Waiting" and "It Was You". The simplicity of the arrangements and production allows the lyrics and simple instrumentation to shine. Even though it is an album of simple arrangements many of the songs have great melodies and are very catchy. You'll find yourself humming the tunes long after listening. The album is definitely not a disappointment after waiting 14 years for something new from Buckingham.
