Tom Cochrane falls right in the long line of great male Canadian singer/songwriters. He is, like Gord Downie, Raine Maida and Jim Cuddy, a bit younger than Robbie Robertson, Neil Young and Gordon Lightfoot, but of the same vein. They all write and sing passionate songs that are completely Canadian in sound and verse. There is an interesting twist on the Norman Greenbaum song "Spirit In The Sky" included on the album along with acoustic versions of older songs. He always does something a little different on each album and always has fans that are willing to join him on the ride.
