Blanche would be the equivalent of the Heinz 57 or mutt of the dog world. There is a little bit of everything in this band. You have a married couple and members from several other bands making up this quintet. The married couple are Tracee Mae Miller and her husband Dan (who was in the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line") from the band Two-Star Tabernacle and there are members from the Raconteurs and American Mars. This Detroit based group's sound is a mixture of country and rock. Most of the songs are dark, tinged with sadness and yet oddly mischievous. Instrumentation includes guitar, banjo and pedal steel guitar along with the usual stuff. Of the five songs on the EP there are four new tunes and a live one.
