Just like Johnny Cash (except he's alive), Neil Young has had a prolific year. Young has released 3 albums and 1 movie/DVD this year. I guess it is true what they say about no rest for the wicked. "Live at the Fillmore East" was originally recorded in 1970 and features a live recording with original band member Danny Whitten. Whitten, lead guitarist, died of a heroin overdose in 1972, so this is one of the last live recordings of him with Crazy Horse. Though there are only six tracks on the album they are extended versions with great guitar solos. Fans of the band who have been waiting will be pleased. Apparently this is the first release from Neil Young in what will be a series of live releases. Bring 'em on, I say!
