Saying that this album is chock full of ambient music would be an understatement. This, the fourth release from Lopside, long-titled disc is a work of six tracks of guitars, static, synthesizers, and no vocals. Don't be discouraged by the fact that there are only six tracks as there is roughly 66 minutes of music. Each track is like a mini-opera – telling a whole story. "The story" is all centered around the idea of capturing the moment, analyzing it and then making it represent what you want it to. Sound complex? Well, this is what all of us tend to do without realizing it. After a couple of listens to the album it will make you rethink what exactly music is. Should we limit what we consider a song to be or can it be made up of any sound? Or you can just crack open a beer and let the music of Lopside transport you through time and space…your choice!
