I hate to be cynical (okay, maybe I don't), but could an album like this be the reason that record sales have gone down? I mean, is this not just an attempt by the record label to rip whatever little disposable income we have out of hands for something that is almost exactly the same as what they sold us a couple of months ago? Could this be the reason that the public is so negative towards record companies? I'll let you think about it.
"Highway Companion" was largely regarded as one of Tom Petty's strongest outings in years. It was his return to what made him popular in the beginning. The 'Special Edition' contains four tracks that were not on the original recording, a leatherette packaging and several postcards. If you don't own the original then buy this. If you do and you have more money than you know what to do with then…..it is a good album….
