Cuba has largely been a forgotten country when it comes to artwork and art exhibits. The approximately 400 works that are on display in this showing make it the most important exhibit of Cuban art that has happened outside of this island country. A collaboration between Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Fototeca de Cuba, private collectors, museums in the United States, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts has made it possible.
The exhibit is a multidisciplinary one featuring paintings, photography, films, postcards, a mural, and posters. With all these varied types of works you will not only see the evolution of art within Cuban, but also learn of the beautiful country
