Montreal Impact vs. Toronto FC

You could never say that the weather in Montreal is predictable or boring. Here we are at the end of the month of May and those in attendance (just over 12,000) at the inaugural game of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship were bundled up in scarves, jackets and blankets to keep warm. It was a cold night for soccer, but that did not keep away the Impact fans as the close to capacity crowd (capacity at the new Saputo Stadium is 13,000) were raucous all night long.

If anyone (the Impact team included) were worried before the game that we would be outclassed by our rivals from down the 401 it was very early in the game that those worries were laid to rest. Being that Toronto FC plays in the higher caliber MSL league while the Impact are in the USFL maybe some thought it would be a cakewalk for Toronto. It wasn
