For over 40 years Montreal's own Leonard Cohen has been considered one of the foremost writers of songs of the modern era. Never know for his voice (distinctive as it is it became part of the reason we loved him) he was considered a poet who put his poetry to music. He has written about love, sex, spirituality, and many other heavy subjects during the course of his career. His influence still continues with today's artists.
Leonard Cohen's career has been filled with classic song after classic song. Tunes such as "Suzanne", "Bird on a Wire", "Everybody Knows", "I'm Your Man", and "Closing Time" are just a few examples. He was not an artist afraid of exploring and changing musically. Cohen was huge in the 1960s and continues to have his own unique audience.
There have been documentaries, tribute albums and concerts, awards, and artists still wanting to record his songs. The man is charismatic, mysterious and enigmatic. Take this opportunity to see this 73 year old legend as he does not perform too often anymore and is a delight live.
