Thinking if it worked for the likes of U2 and Coldplay it would work for them, San Francisco based rock band Thriving Ivory have replicated that modern rock sound for their own album. VH1 named this group one of the rock bands you should get to know. Big choruses, guitar work that stands out and acoustic verses are what most of the tracks on this debut album are about. The problem is that the album has nothing distinctive about it. The songs all sound like they are ready for radio and will be played on radio, but you will not remember anything about them a year later. Nothing memorable.
