From humble beginnings way back in 1995 as Reset, the members of Simple Plan (a better name, I think) have become one of Montreal's biggest musical exports. The name comes from their liking the film "A Simple Plan" and the fact that their 'simple plan' was to play music to avoid having to work in a 9 to 5 type job.
Since the release of their 2002 album "No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls" they band has had incredible worldwide success. Selling over 7 million albums and stringing together hit singles such as "Perfect", "I'd Do Anything" and "Addicted" they are major players on the music scene. Their brand of angst-filled pop-punk has been highly appreciated by their largely teenaged fanbase. With each subsequent album release they have garnered more top ten singles, awards, sold out tours, and gained an even larger fanbase.
No matter what night you see this band you are guaranteed a high energy show. They are young and really put every ounce of energy into their live shows. Most of their songs beg to be sung along with at the top of your lungs, so rest up and warm up your voice before heading out to the show.
