G. Love and Special Sauce

I've always thought that G. Love (of Philadelphia) has always sounded like the funkier brother of Jack Johnson. That trend continues with this album.

Together 15 years already this act has the corner (and rightly so) on the blues/hip hop market. On this CD they have included elements of rock, funk, soul, and island beats to their unique sound. We get a mix of activism and party with the songs on the CD. But the activism part isn't too heavy. G. Love knows that most of us just want to escape while listening to some groovy beats. The production on the album has been stepped up a notch making it smoother than previous G. Love and Special Sauce releases.
