A nice mix of solo and group songs on this acoustic tour from the always interesting (whether you like his music or not) Matthew Good. For those few Canadian music fans out there who are not familiar with his music this is a great introduction. He is one of the top Canadian songwriters of his generation. Again, whether you are a fan of his style of music or not you have to admit that the man has a way with words. There is also plenty of flexibility in his music from arena rock anthems to sparsely arranged songs – he can do it all. When you listen to an album like this with songs from his entire career you realize that Good has not written a bad song. And despite the fact that he uses songs from his solo career and the Matthew Good Band there is a certain continuity to it. The album and the sound flows from one track to the next.
