Once again Montreal is becoming a city that churns out high calibre boxers and that hosts big boxing bouts. This time it is a championship fight between Montreal native Herman "The Black Panther" Ngoudjo and Juan Urango.
For both of these boxers it is a second chance at the title and as such they both have to be hungry for it. The IBF Light Welterweight title is vacant and both have a record of 1-1 in their last two fights coming into this one.
Herman Ngoudjo was born in Cameroon and is 29 years old. He now fights out of Montreal and has a professional record of 17 wins versus 2 losses. Over his last few fights Ngoudjo has not performed up to his capabilities and has turned in some inconsistent fights. His strengths come from his ability to control the bouts he is in and has a strong right hand. Technically sound, when he fights like he can he is capable of beating anyone in his weight category.
Juan Urango is from Columbia and is 28 years old. His record is 20 wins (16 by virtue of knockout), 1 loss and 1 tie. Urango is considered one of the hardest hitters in his weight category. He is also fast, determined and aggressive.
