As 20 centimetres of new snow falls on Montreal it is the perfect time for the annual Fête des Neiges at Parc Jean-Drapeau. As the title of the event states it is a time where Montrealers (whether they want to or not) celebrate the winter months and the snow. It is set up so the entire family has something to enjoy. Because it is so appreciated and such a success this year it is continuing into The Winter Weekends that will run each weekend from February 7-March 8, 2009.
This coming Saturday and Sunday you can snow sculpture, tube slide, play on a hockey rink, listen to music on the Hydro-Quebec stage, experience an 18th century winter camp, and take the Scouts Canada Challenge. You can skate, snowshoe, go tubing, or jump around on a trampoline. There are over 30 events or activities that everyone can take part in.
