A rerelease of this 1971 album by controversial French musician Serge Gainsbourg has made many in the music industry sit up and take notice. The album and its lyrics are dripping with sex, so if that offends you stay far away. This is an erotic tale of his tragic love for an English teenage girl. The English girl is played by Jane Birkin. At times it is sexy then vulgar then dirty. It is meant to be provocative. For the entirety of its 28 minutes Gainsbourg will succeed in seducing you, using his very unique voice, slowly yet surely. Though it was recorded almost 30 years ago somehow it doesn't sound outdated. Though the man recorded much and varied music this is probably his strongest album.
